Black women of all ages and income/education levels have higher maternal mortality rates than anyone else. So this mandate to get preggo before the age of 35 doesn’t scare me. Getting pregnant PERIOD does. 

Honestly, you’re 30, 31 years old. In the next 4-5 years, you’re either going to meet a man who you’d like to partner/parent with for the rest of your life and if he’s not quite that guy, you’ll make it work anyway? You’re going to get your mental/emotional house in order (or at least tidied up because really, whose house is all the way correct anyway)? You’re going to have your finances ready to meet the projected cost of raising a child - $278,000? All because this is your so-called last chance? Good luck with that.
